Internal audits for ISM, ISPS and MLC

PMS Marine Service can conduct an ISM audit on behalf of the management company and provide an independent opinion in accordance with ISM Code 12.4. The fully certified PMS Marine Service auditor will conduct the audit on behalf of the company and produce a detailed written report in narrative format listing any relevant points, including details of any “findings” (non-conformists or observations).

The International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS) requires shipping companies to have procedures in place for conducting internal and external audits to ensure the ship is following the ship security plan. PMS Marine Service employs experienced internal auditors to perform ISPS audits on ships.

2006 Maritime Labour Convention (MLC)—major flags Internal maritime labour inspections are already required by states on an annual basis. This begs the question of how to ensure that those conducting audits and inspections are adequately qualified. PMS Marine Service can provide you with internal audits and verification performed by a fully qualified auditor.
